  • The Department is beginning to accept new Skills Development applications virtually. Any students seeking funding must contact the Department, prior to entering their training program, by sending a completed Request for ServiceĀ  form via email to: employmentprograms@gov.nl.ca.
  • The Department will continue to fund existing Skills Development and Adult Basic Education clients for courses that are being offered online
  • The Department will continue to process payments to employers under existing wage subsidy and training agreements.

  • Clients who receive benefits by cheque through the mail will likely experience delays in receiving payments, and should contact us as soon as possible to arrange for direct deposit.
